That is so cool! How do you tie them to secure them to the buckles?
I originally looped them through as in the photo. Now I just make a single loop and tighten them down with zip ties. I've never had on come loose in over 500 dives with the bungees.

Can't you go back to your dealer and have them replace the straps?
I know my dealer does that. (I have small feet, so I got a smaller springstrap...)

I have modified a few spring straps now with no issues. Kinda hard to make them longer, but it is very easy to make them shorter. Then bend the loop back into place, and reinstall them.

Yes, I too have done the same, the new loop wasn't pretty but it worked fine.

Cut them.

Is that possible? Will take a closer look tonight.

Cool, thanks!

Sorry, but my bungee straps are better :D

Three 3/16" bungee straps tied to the posts using a Figure 8 knot and an overhand knot to keep the former from undoing itselt. Sheath everything in nylon tubular webbing.

You get less pressure on your heel, which was my original problem with using just one piece. The three pieces are easier to stretch and still give you enough tension to keep your foot in.

I make a single loop and lock it down with a zip tie. I've never had a problem with pressure on my heel, and even with the giant size foot pockets of the XXL Jetfins, they stay secure. It's really easy to pull the fins off with one finger, which really helps in rough seas or surf exits.
