I just moved here from Connecticut to Homestead with my husband and was wondering if anyone knew of an easy first time FL dive. Just had a baby 2 months ago and am VERY eager to get back in water but don't want to over do it first time in again.

FL is pretty big. Where are you located?

Well your in the right place and welcome back. Homestead is only 30 miles north of some of the best diving in Florida. The Upper Keys has some very good reefs, wreck, and drift dives. As a matter of fact Scuba Diving Magazine voted Islamorada/Tavernier the Best Dive Destination in North America for the second year in a row. Some would be perfect for you to ease back into diving.

Good Diving,

Doder,

Welcome HOME!! As Capt Gary saided you are in the middle of the best diving in the State. You should call him, he has a great operation. Here is a link to his website http://www.conchrepublicdivers.com/ . I send all my guys to him that want to have fun and enjoys being with a class act.

Like capt Gary said great area his shop gets great reviews and the shallow reefs are pretty easy.

I think West Palm Beach has some very easy drift diving... No major physical excursion.. You just enter the water from the boat, go down, drift along the edge of the reef, surface, and have the boat come to you and pick you up. Great dives.

Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it. I didn't get to do ANY diving last year-not even dry suit diving being pregnant. I am so excited to get back in the water! The best part is that it will be easier down here than what it was up there! Thanks again for all the help!

I second the Keys recommendation for easy VIP White Glove diving. That is a great enviroment to jump back into diving. Shallow, mild current and lots too see in HUGE blinding schools.
