We have a 100 miles of lakes, bayous and rivers. None of them I'd get in to dive though. At most 2' vis. Alligators. Swamp critters, snakes, etc. I have never heard of anyone, ever, diving around here other than commercial divers.

Closest spot to me to get wet is Pensacola. About 5 hours each way, including stops and no traffic. Doing three tanks there Friday morning. Last time I was there bottom temp at 51' was 82º-84º. All of the dive shops here, and all of the ones within 100 miles of me, all go to Pensacola for check out dives.

Having once set foot in Mobile Bay in the summertime, I can understand that you might dive without exposure protection! But it's still salt water, so the weighting will be different.

Yeah, I guess it's just more getting the percentages worked out between the two for me. I've been wearing 4 lbs in fresh and 10 in salt with an AL80. If I can get good trim and buoancy at this weight in fresh then THIS weight should give me close to the same in salt, with the same tank, etc.
