Hello everyone....I happened across this site while looking for information about diving certifications/classes. I have lots of questions and am needing advice/opinions on certification courses. Hope I can get some assistance from everyone and or anyone. I'll probably check out the other topics to fine the best place to post some questions.!

Welcome to SB. I've been in your shoes for a while and it all starts for my wife and I in less than 2 weeks!
If you're like me you will have a million questions and in searching you will see many detailed and varried responses. I'm a techical/detail type of person and want to know the ins and outs of everything. What I have been trying to focus on are the things I need to know now, like chossing an instructor. It's real easy to get excited in here and decide before you've even dove that you want a ss backplate with wing, apex atx200, and PST HP-100s... doubles no less. Try to turn that off for now. This is a great place to learn the options and get focussed opinions when the time comes. There's a lot of knowldge here that you can tap and often more than one way to look at an issue.
A wise diver also said "just because you read it on SCUBA Board does not make it true (or right for you).
