New diver, no diving partner, what do I do?

Ahhh, the pleasures of an el nino year...

I'm waiting for it to get up near 58 so I can yank the hood off again, but it seems to be heading more for the high 40s, which is cold enough to make my jaw ache.

I got spoiled the year I started diving though. Got certed in April, it got cold in May-June while I was still generating massive newbie energy to keep myself warm, and by the time I started to get settled, the winter was doing 58-62 in Monterey! Ah, bliss.

Last dive down in Big Sur it was like 46-47 (conflicting dive computer readouts), but a rough swell day 10-12 so fighting deep surge kept us from being divesicles.
