El Orans:
Hello Recman21,

glad you could join us.

Laurens
Thanks Laurens!

I hope to dive in Europe within the next couple of years. My brother does a lot of diving in the Mediterranean, Kefalonia, GR has been living out there studying sea turtles for years.

Happy Diving!

Nomaster:
WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!!
CONGRATULATIONS!! on your new addiction too.
You've already been linked to your local "Wrecking Crew" so you should get some diving in soon, if you post in their forum and start glad handing a little. It won't take much; divers are addicts and need little excuse to get wet.
When you travel, check out forums from where you're going to go, make some contacts before you leave, take your gear, at least your card and be prepared to dive!
Glad you joined us.

Tom
Thanks Tom!

Given your geopgraphical location I don't know what our chances are of diving together but you never know where life will take you!

Happy Diving!

Steve

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!
If you'll click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. At the bottom, be sure to notice the Local & Singles Dive Club fourms.

Be sure to check out our New2Scuba forum, too. I can certainly see that you're not going to be a warm water vacation diver, but it's still a good place to visit often - to search for answers on problems common to newbies, as well as share found answers.

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

Thanks Don!

You're right! Given the area I live in, it looks like cold water diving is going to be a big part of my future. Given the choice between not diving for months and braving the frigid waters I am opting for the second. Now I just need to unearth some others who don't mind a little refrigeration.......already got my tentacles out in the GLWC forum!

Hopefully our paths will cross one day and we can dive together. My sister-in-law lives in Houston so maybe I could make a "little" detour on one of our trips...where do you dive at the most?

Happy Diving!

Steve

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You're in the right place to find buddies that will help you build experience, but you know that by now since you've been actively posting on the board. Glad you found us!

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or respond to in this forum.
