A couple buddies and I just were OW certified. Now we caught the bug and want to go do some easy beginner friendly shore dives. Does anyone have any recommendations? I have looked online at the Malta and Bluffs wreck, but not sure how they are for beginners. We are in Monmouth COunty, NJ by the way.

Thanks!

Hey Welcome to the sport. Gull Island Park in Point Pleasant is a very easy shore dive, as is L street in Belmar. Best time for both sites is slack high.

Hey, I worked at Fort Monmouth Fire Department up until the day we closed the gates. I got certified in 2010 and would love to join your group of diving buddies if your interested. There is some good diving at Dutch, as well as Lake George and other places.
