i was certified when i was a teenager in the 70's but could not afford to keep the hobby going. now that I'm 45yrs old and can afford it I'm ready to continue with full force (weekends only though). i am looking to take some local dives with a buddy in places like old marine land and such to get some practice and log some dives. i have purchased all my equipment and have my own wheels. if you have a bit of patience and would like to show the new guy a few sites and just love to dive email me. i would be happy to meet some fellow divers. i have plans to go to Catalina again Saturday 5/8 and the following Saturday with dive n' surf in Redondo beach. but this is the expensive route there has got to be a better way now that i own all my equipment.

Howdy!

Welcome to SB!!
:happywave Put us in your computer's favorites and check in often. This is a great place to learn, compare, argue :argue: Look around our various forums.

Now, as long as you've been dry, I'd suggest recertifying. Lots of changes in 30 years, and - you may have forgotten some of what you knew anyway.

Glad you found us! This is a great place to spend your SI, but watch out, it's addictive!

Don't forget to check out the SB Clubs info areas in California Kelp Divers
