DareDevil:
Dutch Diver ?

I have lived (and dived) in the Netherlands for a few years...

One time my fellow Dutch divers told me "We are going to dive in a lake, so you can see the bus, just follow the road signs down there" - I thinking either they were pulling my leg, or I hadn't really understood what they meant.

But once reached the bottom they showed me "paths" made of old tires chained together and by following one of that we reached a bus, coupled with a mannequin driver dressed with a suit and mask, it was amazing !

Do you know by chance the name of that lake? I have forgotten it, but I remember it was SE of Amsterdam.

Cheers,

DareDevil

Hi Daredevil,

The place you are talking about is Vinkeveense Plas. At least it's the only one I can think of with a bus. The mannikin is gone, but there's a toilet on top of the bus now with a dish full of coins for the cleaning lady. :) There's also a very large snoek living in the bus. There are some other things down there that might surprise you if you dive there again.

Cheers,

Phil

i also see uwatec sold on the leisure pro website
now is that considered not internet because they have a catalog or what
yeah i did not notice that the Aladin Air Z Nitrox does not have temp sensor
and i changed my mind towards the Uwatec Aladin Smart Pro Air/Nitrox Wrist Computer
what ya think and since its not air integrated
can ya find a small air guage instead of the big bulky console

LP may have a store front, and a catalog, but they are grey market. In the case of Dive gear grey means basically that they are NOT authorized dealers for many (maybe all) the gear they sell.

They offer their own warranty, which is *generally* the same as the manufacture. However in this case, where the labor cost of the battery replacement is part of the warranty, IMO sending something back to LP EVEN if they did match the coverage is too big of a pain in the tail to make the savings worthwhile.

In this case best to find an authorized LDS that can service the puter if one decides to purchase a puter where the battery must be replaced by a service center, and that is covered under warranty.

Yes, it must be Vinkeveen, the name sounds familiar enough. Thanks a lot :-)
