TDI has recently changed the bailout gas standards for the CCR Mixed Gad Diluent Diver. I am looking at the part
33.11 Required Skill Perfomance...
I see the following 3. Calculate bailout gas at 50 litres /1.8 cubic Feet per minute usage for bottom mix and ascent phase including the first 10 minutes of decompression, and at 25 litres/0.9 cubicFeet per minute for decompression gas(ses) after the end of the first decompression stop.

Is there a shortcut in Multideco that would allow me to predict gas consumption for both the ascent phase and the first 10 minutes of deco or do I have to revert back to the 90s where we hand bombed all the gas consumption calculations?

under BO settings theres a box for bottom gas rate- if you allow the maximum usage at the deepest section then by default all other stops/consumption rates wil be covered

Yes but the software allows for bottom and deco phase but the standards call for higher consumption during 10 minutes of the deco phase which does not seem to be supported by the software.

I like the idea of using a much higher rate for the first few minutes of bailout. You weren't expecting to be there, yet here you are. That heart rate is a thumping, and you're sucking down gas. I look forward to seeing the answer.

you dont have this option?

I guess you could use the plan you have and enter the BO consumption rate as you usually do then enter a higher number and calculate the difference

at least enter the higher number and check the plan to see what depth you are after 10 min the do a recalculation

I totally see the rationale and agree with it fully but I am confounded by the calculation short of calculating by hand the consumption for each minute of the deco phase and adding to the total provided by the software. Dive planners are supposed to make these matters easier. hmmm

There's the key word, right there. :D
I sent a message to Ross Hemmingway about this. He has been responsive to other tweaks in the past. I can't imagine adding an intermediate waypoint should be hard to impliment, but I'm no programmer.
