New back for my Veo 250 ... what are the odds?

Sounds like you've got it covered but just in case here are the pics.

Hmmm ... thanks for the pics but ... I'm gonna take a pass on that. The 'back door' looks like it's pretty much served out its life span ...

@highdesert : yes, that is the cover/door. I got one recently from them for a veo180nx. However... when I got mine it did not have the metallic disc bonded in the inside. I had to pry the old one out of the cover and re-use it with new one. It was tricky to keep it all in place putting it back together, but it does work. Maybe a dab of something "sticky" (but not permanent) to hold it for assembly. You might need to swap that disc again...
