New Atomic Ultraclear

Me too, me too! While I like my X-Vision Mid, I agree it's just ever so slightly narrow in the field of view (though it seals wonderfully). Hopefully these will be out before middle of October (And in a perfect world, with a yellow accent!)

Hi Guys, good news on the Narrow Fit mask - it is due to arrive at Atomic around the middle to end of Sept, of course that is if everything stays on track. It will only be available in the Framesless version, clear or black skirk. I can tell you I pretty small all the way around and both versions of the mask do not fit me as it.. but I have tried and dived the narrow mask and it fits great!
We are taking orders for it now via your authorized dealer. Pricing should be in line w/ the current frameless. I'll be waiting to hear from you guys!

(I'm guessing no since it's the frameless, but it doesn't hurt a girl to ask, does it?)

No, choice as the frameless has no frame, only the skirt ( which is why it's so low profile - choices are black or clear skirt.

My LDS was excited to hear about this (their Atomic rep hadn't yet told them) and mine is on order.

I just bought the frameless black Atomic before my last trip. I love the look of it and the glass. The fit seems like it should work well underwater, but one of the catches that holds the strap broke before I ever got in the water with it. And, unfortunately it broke too late for me to replace it before my trip. So I had to use my old mask on my trip. No big deal.
Yes, I tried to use an aftermarket strap, but the Atomic strap (and the slots it goes through) is more narrow than regular mask straps.
I am not going to criticize until I check into exactly what broke and why, but if you have one, be careful with those catches!
And mine did take an extensive amount of cleaning before it would not fog, even with defog. I ended using 500 PSI's Mask Scrub to clean it, and it took 2 applications of that.

I bought the subframe in silver and black and it looks sharp. I really like the fit and the field of vision.

Also, I had a really good experience with Atomic. None of the LDS' in my area had the Ultraclears in stock. So I called the company and one of the customer service reps called an LDS down the road that handled their product and made them put an order in. Now that's service!

Wellllll... first dive today with the new Atomic mask...
The optics are incredible! Clearest I've ever seen, and the field of view is spectacular.

I agree with Thomjinx that it needs lots of scrub to de-fog (had a part of one lense continually fog)... However, that only means they put a good amount of protectant on the lenses, and my bad for not doing a better clean routine...

Biggest, and only, problem... my moustache/beard. Couldn't stop a slight leak (and I refuse to use that moustache gel goo), probably because the skirt is so soft and pliable. My wife tried it... it worked perfectly for her... she fell in love with it... and she's keeping it... c'est la vie....

Just picked up the frameless ultraclear mask while I was in LA this weekend. Mask looks perty... can't wait to try it u/w.
