Cressi can't be all that as I don't know of a shop in Indy that has any of their stuff( I know of and have been to 6 shops and have yet to find cressi local)

You are obviously a new diver and with time you will learn of Cressi-Sub. Sorry (Indy) does not sell any...

Hey Darcy- what's the latest on the narrower versions of the Frameless and Subframe masks? All this talk of how great these are is killing me!

You tried them right? I consider myself to have a narrow face and the subframe fits me just fine. This has a larger skirt that the frameless version too!

Here's mine

I haven't tried them in the water, but I've tried them both on in the LDS and couldn't get a good seal against my face, though the Subframe was closer to sealing than the Frameless. Right now I'm using a Mares X-Vision Mid, and it's a touch too narrow. I get a little leaking around corners of the eyes near the cheekbones. There aren't a whole lot of choices in narrow masks so I'm hoping that one of these masks in a narrower version, combined with the softer black silicone skirt, will be the solution.

All I can say is that I'm very happy with the mask after diving with it. Vision was supper clear and the field of view was great. As for the seal... the large skirt made it almost impossible to create a leak by cracking the mask. I had to almost lift the whole side. My last mask... if I even looked left or right would leak. I think i could twist this new atomic around my bald head and once it arrived back at my eyes it would be still void of water. So in short, I'm very happy to spend $100 on a mask that FITS!!! The extras are nice.
If a mask came with a free dive computer I'd be unhappy if it didn't fit. (well maybe that would be ok :) )

Hmm, its weird how some people with smaller faces fit better into the "larger" subframe skirt as opposed to the frameless. Hopefully their expanded line will have a size that fits you, the mask it top quality.

I noticed the same thing, I have never had a mask fit so well. I don't think I could even break the seal easily if I tried to! The mask is also pretty comfortable to wear too due to the large area the skirt sits over.

Actually I have been diving for 6 years!!! I have not seen anything of cressis that is better then anyone else. I think gear is a personal thing, just as which is beter and smarter blondes or brunettes?? I have met smart and stupid in both!!! I think that if you like a brand then you should buy it. The main thing I look at is do you like it Does it fit correctly and is it what you want.

6 years, 51-100 dives = still new diver, sorry.:shakehead Never said you should not buy a mask if it is $100. If it fits good buy it. Just don't knock Cressi-Sub until you try the big eyes and for $27.95 you cannot go wrong if it fits. I have owned a new mask just about every year for 25 years and the Big Eyes fits the best out of all including the new Atomics.

By the way you said you have not seen anything of Cressi that is better yet you cannot find one in 6 shops to try?

Me too, me too! While I like my X-Vision Mid, I agree it's just ever so slightly narrow in the field of view (though it seals wonderfully). Hopefully these will be out before middle of October  (And in a perfect world, with a yellow accent!)
