I am looking for a neutral tech fins as Jetfins gets too heavy for me. I tried RK3HD fins, but I hated them because I feel that they were really floppy. Deep6Eddy's foot pocket did not really fit me. I am stuck on choosing between OMS Slipstream vs. DR XT fins. But I am afraid that Slipstream is not stiff enough.

Neutral weight with a stiff enough blade to work with doubles, powerful yet light weight; tough as there just aren't many options. DR XTs, maybe SP Go Sport Gorillas, go to several shops and see if you can test dive before purchase.
Is slipstream one of them? LOL

I have been diving with Dive Rite XTs for many years, they are slightly negative in salt water. I dive wetsuit, 3-7 mm. I mostly frog kick, they are excellent. When I really need to push in flutter, they do not disappoint. Alternative kicks are a breeze. These are the fins for me.

Best of luck

If you're not in a rush, you can give these a try. Mares Power Plana Open Heel Fins Medium | eBay They're older Mares fins.

I was in a similar situation like you a few months ago in looking for fins that are lighter than Jet Fins. I bought the Scubapro Go Sport Gorillas but found that they are not as responsive as Jet Fins (at least to me). I stumbled on the Mares Power Plana fins and scored an XL set to wear with my thick-soled 5mm booties. I bought them off a guy in my area selling a bunch of used gear; I paid $20 cash for my fins. I recently tried the fins in Bonaire during shore diving and love the fins. These fins are as responsive as my Jets, and I can maneuver about with ease. I replaced the fin straps with these: Mares Bungee Fin Straps. I removed those funky rubber loops and just use the plain strap. Works great for me.

Here are some specs that may interest you:

My XL Scubapro Jet Fins with springs straps, weight 6.7lbs (dry weight).

My XL Mares Power Plana fins, weight 4.3lbs (dry weight). The fins are slightly negatively buoyant in salt water.

You can find these fins on eBay, and for the price it could be a very cost-effective way to solve your issue.

DR XT if you want long and pretty stiff but the foot pocket is not more comfortable than deep 6 imo. the hollis F1 LT is a contender but dive shops hate stocking them in my experience.
But isnt Hollis LT quite negative?

the F1 LT is close to neutral, the regular F1 is negative for drysuit diving. its a similar material to the deep 6 and go sport gorilla that it is also a monoprene blend iirc

the F1 series has the most comfortable foot pocket imo for fins, although the go sport and deep 6 eddy are also pretty good

rk3hd really floppy ? Try concrete block instead.😆

I did a hatchet job on my Gorillas and we were all happy even the hatchet

I get all these squids following me around

Jetfins gets too heavy for me.

Yeah they are far to heavy for me too and right from the start, and I'm big and strong

Did you know, they invented the frog kick, as you can't really use Jetfin any other way

And these Jetfin style divers, well they are slow, and don't really go anywhere anyway

Maybe we could call them the pre Jet fin
