Hi,
I'll be in the austin area at the beginning of the year. I would like to find a sidemount instructor. Preferably an independent instructor who isn't looking to sell me gear. I just want some go quality training.
I have AOW and Intro to Tech. I have been diving a backplate and wing up north in Indiana, Ohio and the great lakes. I just set up back mounted doubles, but I think side mount is better for my current situation. My tanks are lp85s so I believe they will be good for sidemount.
I already have all the hoses and gauges because I bought the apex sidemount kit when I purchased my regs. I don't have a rig yet but I htink the SMS100 is the one I need because I want to reserve the option for backmounted singles and I can't afford to have more than one rig. NOt because of cost but because of size and weight. I live in an RV!
Let me know if you know of anyone that can help me learn sidemount.
