Indeed, time will tell. From all I've read the maintenance costs for this boat are staggering. Remember folks, even for a relatively new boat that is being actively used, it is always considered as a hole in the water that money gets thrown into. In this case, I would say that this statement is magnified tenfold due to the boats size and age.

Mounting a fundraising campaign for the initial purchase is one thing, but we're talking about a boat here that needs quite a bit of money poured into it before it can begin to earn even a part of its keep.

It may not be long before this group that has purchased it winds up at pretty much the same place that Bishop was at of not being able to maintain it and running a serious financial risk because of it.

Time indeed will tell.
 
Looks like the FOC will remain above the surface for a little longer. The official transfer to take place this Tuesday.
