You mentioned your SAC rate in a 95 when stating an 80 would be enough. That's comparing volumes and you won't hav e a SAC of 9-11 psi/min in an 80.

I thought we were talking about cave diving (which i do) I would look awful stupid diving the Black Bart with side mounts huh!. My sac rate is somewhere between 8 to 11 psi min unless there is a lot of flow.

I know somebody who has done a beach dive in sidemount :dork2:
Just kidding I would do it too!

I may be beating a dead horse but 10 psi on a 95 is .36 cu ft. So saying you have a 10 psi per minute sac rate on a 95 (aka .36 cu ft per min) actually comes out to almost a 15 psi per minute on a HP 80.

Well in any debate there has to be one person to finally say I give. Thats me. I give. i do appreciate all the info that I learned very much. As far as diving side mounts from shore, each to his own. Thats what makes this country great, freedom of choice. Heck Ive seen people diving in dry suits in Bonaire. Thanks again for all the helpful info guys. K

And I bought two LP95s and am ordering two LP45s so I will close this thread officially. Thanks for all the advice guys. Sidemount rocks by the way.

D'Oh, I have a local buddy just tell me he has some LP95s to sell for $200 a piece. Looks like you found some already though.

Now those LP45s can be some awesome "really tight stuff" tanks.
