Hi guys,
Any help on this subject would be much appreciated.
At the moment I have a Oneil (Surfing) wetsuit that is a 5mm/3mm. I love it as it's flexible (3mm in arms and legs, 5mm in front and back) and in the 22-24 degree water that Perth (Australia) has I can dive for 1 hour without feeling cold.
Now that its winter the water is down to 16-17degrees and I am starting to feel cold after 30mins (at 10m max depth).
I am off to Truk and Great Barrier Reef in September/October.
I want to be protected from the Jelly's at Truk but I don't want to be too warm either. Will be 5/3 be too much for Truk and Great Barrier at that time of year? Regardless I am going to have to buy something to keep me warm over winter in Perth. Lavacore upper with hood?
Thanks in advance.
