All, I took my USD 1st & 2nd stage to my LDS and after 3 weeks they tell me they don't have the service kits for them. I told him it took three weeks for you to figure that out?!? Needless to say I was disappointed with the notification process as I was hoping to use this as my backup for my existing rig to dive Blue Grotto and Devils Den this coming Monday. Does anyone know off hand where I can get these kits?

Chris,
If they service the older Aqua-Lung Titans, they have the service kits for the Conshelf because they use the exact same kit!

Tell them to use kit PN 900001 for the first stage and the standard USD/AL puck LP seat for the second stage. The second stage diaphragm and exhaust valve can be reused.

Of course, you could always get kits from Bryan at VDH and service your Connie yourself. Here's where you can get the Conshelf XIV manual:

http://www.aqualung.com/militaryand...ormation/Conshelf_XIV_TechMan_LoRes_02_10.pdf

It's the same as your Conshelf inside and the service procedure is the same.

Also, VDH has manuals for all the early USD regs for download.

If they "don't have them", they are either not an Aqualung dealer, don't have a clue and you need a new service tech or worse but most likely they are BSing you for a new reg sell. Like Will said, the Conshelf kit is the exact same one as the older style Titan and with a couple of non critical oring differences the same as the SEA/new Titan/old Titan/Legend and darn near every USD/AL reg made in the last 45 years. The filter is also different in some of the regs but again, it is a common one......that may be the issue come to think of it...the original filter may have a metal ring around the outside and was slightly thicker, the replacements use the common filter with a washer spacer...the tech might not know that style was replaced with the new style....30+ years ago. The second stage can easily be serviced as well.

SVC kit, PN 900001
Titan<09 & Conshelf
"Contains standard overhaul replacement parts for the Titan <09, Conshelf SE3, SE2, SE, 22, 21, and XIV first stage"

This kit fits. It's the one I rebuilt my Conshelf VI with, which is now is a pony bottle reg.

I did have trouble getting the plastic diaphragm thrust washer to fit, it's a little wide.

Well my back up LDS had no problem servicing my Conshelf VI second stage and my Aquarius 1st Stage. Breaths great; also I just happened to have a Healthways pressure gauge that fit just right :)

Thanks all for the advice with the Part # for the service kit.

Nice.

BTW, the exhaust T is upside down, some divers use it like that intentionally, but I didn't know if you are aware of it.
If you unscrew the exhaust T and turn it right side up you may like how the chin rest fits you. It is design to rest under your chin.

If you copy were it says “IMG code” from photobucket and paste the URL complete with the front and back, the picture will show right in this post.
Actually, if you just click to the right of where it reads "IMG code" it automatically copies it and all you have to do is paste it.
