Quick Summary- Wife and I have been certified since 1997, but diving took a back seat when we had kids.

They are now 6 and 8, good swimmers and we introduced them to ocean snorkeling. We want to take them snorkeling at Ocean Beach Park and Alewife Cove, but have never been there before.

I would be glad to get any tips on parking, where to go that is safe for younger kids etc. What is the best tide chart and is there a +/- for precise high tide? How quick is the transition/how strong is the flow through the inlet? Any info along these lines would be great. We want the kids to get certified eventually, and are trying to get them comfortable and exited about the ocean.

Any help is greatly appreciated....
