Here's one I haven't seen for a while. With all the talk about online sales v. LDS, how about we list some of our favorite dive shops (online and/or LDS). List their websites or e-mail addy's if you'd like too.

Here's some of mine:

Extreme Exposure

DiveINN

Simply Scuba

Barry Stier's

Northeast Scuba Supply

What are your favorites :)?

My favorite LDS is W.W. Diving in Humble, Texas...281/540-1616.
They treat everyone who walks in the door as a valued customer, not the next rent payment. Inventory is updated regularly, and you are encouraged to try any and all gear in their pool...without the pressure to buy. They are one of the few shops I've seen that don't have a problem with their customers utilizing the internet for research and education. Their low pressure salesmanship actually encourages me to spend my money there. We no longer buy alot of stuff...we seem to already have at least one of everything! But the way WW treats us customers that don't mean high possible sales keeps me going back. Air fills, gear maintanence, knowledge of new products, etc. are what an established diver needs from their dive shop and WW works hard to see that our needs are filled.

I seldom ever buy anything from online stores. I use the ones already mentioned for price comparisons but that's about all.

My shop is

Southern Scuba, Alec Ranck, owner
6900 South Freeway
Fort Worth, TX 76134
Main Phone: (817) 568-1055
email: tekdiver@chartern.net

One reason I prefer this shop is that they do quite a bit to ensure that the gear you're purchasing meets current and future needs, and their push for high quality diver edcucation versus scuba classes.

Southern Scuba is also one of the few shops in D/FW that caters to advanced and tek divers.

Check out www.victorysports.net This place is great, they don't just run the dive shop, they are dive buddies. The dive all the time and set up dives to keep student interested. I will spend the extra money(if need be) to buy from them rather then on line.

Divers Supply seems pretty good. I especially like their people at their Marietta and Doraville locations here in GA.
