No way to get it to work on a phone.
A phone is a USB device as is the download clip.
A regular computer it a USB host.
Only a USB host can give a device commands.

In other but still relevant news...
Two things.

#1 We are still testing for a functional Windows 64bit work around. I expect positive results soon.

#2 I'm currently investigating the possibilities of porting the download software for Google's new Android Live OS and Chrome OS for PC as well as some Linux OSs such as Ubuntu and Cent.
Thumbs up on the Ubuntu front.... that would mean the world to me.

It would simply mean that there is not a single program I would need to run on windoze and simply can wipe that partition.

Windoze gives me the itches....

Thanks Gibby

It would be quite an adventure.

Its been quite awhile since i tried something like this so if there is anybody out there that's a linux programmer that would care to contribute, please contact me.

On another note, I need the Windows 64 bit users to send me a message so I can send them test files.

Finally, have any of the 32bit users experienced any problems?
If you guys all say its working I can send the files to Scott to post on the Zeagle website.

Thanks
Gibby

Hi Gibby,

I meant more of a Windows Mobile or Blackberry App where we would be able to have our logs with us sort of like the mobile versions of Diving Log (w w w.divinglog. de). Since I saw you mention the Android I thought you were looking at mobile devices.

Thanks,

Eddie

Android is now also a micro operating system as well as the Crome OS.
Their main use is on netbooks and such but I do have a friend that is running android on a full size PC as a multimedia server in his home.

Making mobile logbook for Android would be relatively easy but I am not familiar with Black Berry or Windows Mobile app development.

If I see enough interest in it I would take it on.
I would also need to setup a paypal donation button to cover spending a lot of time on it.

yep, count on me for the ubuntu side donations. I work in finance so won't be able to help a lot with the programing though!

All of the issues have been posted here. I have been using the software on a netrbook with windows 7 starter edition. Both computers communicate fine and there have not been any issues as far as downloading data. I am happy the investment in a cable finally works!

I would like to see...

1. Ability to sort dives by date and/or dive number
2. Enter tank sizes and volumes
3. Ability to sort dive locations alphabetically
4. Abiltiy to create equipment profiles
5. Ability to delete dive locations

Is there a way to reset the computer compeletly, wiping all the previous dives and resetting back to factory settings. I tried the reset button, both with the computer off and on, and neither deleted the previous dives. I also removed the battery for 10+ minutes but it still had the dive data from 60 previous dives on it. The computer has a dive I didn't do on it (Pool dive) which keeps throwing off the log book number. I can fix it by editing the DC_Log_Man file and changing the filenames of subsequent dives, but it's a real pain since it keeps adding this particular dive back in when ever I download again. There should be a way to select which dives to add to the logbook software, rather than just having to accept them all.

Did anybody answer this question about resetting to factory settings?

I just bought 2 used In2itions and I was wondering about the same thing.

To the best of my understanding you basically can't.

The reset button brings the settings back to factory standards such as setting it to air diving from nitrox, safety factors back to zero, clear all the counters, time and alarms, etc.

It will allow you to clear any surface time and lend your computer to someone on some limited circumstances (as in on day diving) but that is it.

The computer history can't be deleted. it is like a car's odometer.

This is exactly what I wanted to find out eventhough my question wasnt exactly spot on.

When you say the history of the computer are you talking about:
how many hours of diveing in total?
how many dives in total?

This is the data you cannot erase?

How about the dive logs? Can I erase those? Or should I download them first and then it will clear itself?

Thanks again
