Back to a previous question, if you will.
I have the N2ition2 and would love to know how to get the tank capacity number to take. No matter what value I enter, when I click away from that window it returns to 0.00
I am trying to use cu/ft.

That bug still seems to be present.
I still don't know why there is a decimal point in that number.

Betas are going out to testers tonight.
Good luck and I will be at my computer to answer any email questions.

Back on page 3 of this thread I questioned the tank size input, and later posted that if you convert actual tank volume (not under pressure) from liters to cu.ft it will give you a decimal less than 1. For my 13L tank it works out to 0.46. When this number is used, the other values will calculate depending on working pressure start/end pressures. I don't know if this will help as the original question/comment was never addressed. The program works on my vista and XP machines, but since I'm new to diving they are simple dives with no deco or gas changes.

On a side note, the book mark works great showing a green dot on the dive profile. I sync the times on my GPS and N2ition and put the GPS in the diver down float. When I find something of interest I book mark using the dive computer which saves the time. I then plot the GPS route on a mapping program, track the route to find the time the book mark was made I can mark the spot on the map including depth. Practical? Depends what you want to do with it. For me it works great and I have no complaints of the computer or program.

After careful testing we have found that not only does the Zeagle download adapter keep your chips fresh but it can also download log data from your N2ition and N2ition 3 dive computer onto windows 7 and vista.

We are aware that some minor bugs do exist and that the help file really sucks.
Main issue still remaining is the tank size converter from liters to CuFt seems to be goofy but as previously posted there is a work around for the moment.

Also I will be posting instruction on how to manually modify the gear lists, location names and so on.

Anyway here are your instructions.

Go the the link below and download the zip file.
Open the file and put the W7 folder on your desktop.
First run Setup_APP the Setup_N2ition and finally Setup_N2ition3

At this point you can plug in the clip and allow windows to attempt an install of the driver.

Windows should ID the device as a PL-2303X device.

USB drivers issues has been one of our largest problems so if you made it here you are looking good. When the driver is installed the light on the device should go out. If it stays on my experience is that its not working yet. I also found that the driver will not apply to all of the USB ports on your computer. So if the driver does not install on one port go ahead and try another port.

Give the software a try.
Set your computer to PC mode and attach the clip.
Click on Tool from the menu bar then Get Log Data.
Good luck and contact me if you have any questions and let me know if it works.

Well I saw your post on the latest software release and I downloaded and installed it.
First, even though I checked "install desktop short cut" during the download,,,,, it did not!..... OK, let's try to open it... Not happening!.... "Component not correctly registered"!.... Well, maybe the drivers have to be installed?!?
Plug in the download clip, hook up the computer and let it do it's thing.... No, that didn't work! It went through the motions and then gave me a message that I needed to insert the installation disk or search the computer for the needed files... Which, of course, it could never find!... The green light on the download clip never went out and to the end I just keep getting the message that the "Component not correctly registered"!... I tried this installation from all three USB ports on this laptop... It just isn't happening!
This is a one year old Toshiba with Intel Core2 Duo Processor T6400 running Vista Home Premium in 64-bit.
I had previously attempted an install of the original N2ition3 Vista software (nearly a year ago!).
This is getting REALLY frustrating!... Any suggestions?

The software is not compatible with 64 bit systems.
It has something to do with where 64 bit keeps its drivers.

Im testing a workaround. Ill let you know what happens.

Hey Gibby,
Will there ever be a MAC version of the download software? I have an N2ition3 for my backup tech computer and would love to be able to use it natively on my MACs. Thanks!!

It would take Seiko's initial effort to port the software over to mac and it's doubtful they ever would since we (divers) are such a small percentage of the diver computer market share and mac users are a very small fraction of that. It was hard enough and took almost two years to get them to release a 'mostly' stable version for windows.

On a more personal note, I am a very strong supporter of open source framework in software development so assisting in anything compatible with apple and their business model behavior directly conflicts with my morals. Sorry mac users.

In other but still relevant news...
Two things.

#1 We are still testing for a functional Windows 64bit work around. I expect positive results soon.

#2 I'm currently investigating the possibilities of porting the download software for Google's new Android Live OS and Chrome OS for PC as well as some Linux OSs such as Ubuntu and Cent.
