What do you do with an idle hour at two in the morning?

Well, of course . . . you browse diving-related bulletin boards. You follow links and watch scuba videos. Specifically, cave diving videos.

LOTS of cave diving videos.

Then you read articles about cave diver training courses.

Then you put cave diving photographs as the wallpaper on your computers.

I think I'd better get back to real diving soon.

So, what's YOUR diving fantasy?

Same as yours! When I was in the military working the night shift (as I always did) I would do the same thing! I would call friends and say "hey, ck this out!" and they would be like "hmm, cool" I could never understand why they didnt get as excited as I did.

Now that I am a cave diver, I still do it. Ck out http://www.neptunoworld.com/ its got hours of stuff to watch.

:censored: you WaterDawg! I was just getting ready to turn in and catch up on some much needed shut eye when you just had to post that website. :D

I'm a simple man, I think that I could survive in a small bungallow, with a nice view.Nothing fancy. Neighbours, a shared backyard... No problem!

Something like that:

Ok, dreamt enough, let's get back to reality, I have to clean a spot for the car.

I think Rick wins the prize for the most far-fetched fantasy.

WaterDawg, darn you, I hadn't found that one yet. I guess I can say goodbye to getting anything useful done THIS week.

My current diving fantasy is for global warming to raise the sea level a hundred feet or so and flood the Columbia/Willamette rivers valleys back into downtown Portland.

That way I could get some decent salt water diving without having to drive for 2+ hours..

If the water got a tad warmer, so much the better :)

Lamont, why would anybody, given an infinite range of fantasy, want an apartment in MANHATTAN? I do everything I can to avoid ever having to go there . . .

Hmm, I was looking for someone's post in this thread with more base thoughts about fantasy and water ... darn, guess this means this thread hasn't "sunk" low enough for me to post anything revealing yet.

Did that back in the 80's. Really high SAC. Now my fantasy is hitching a ride on a whale shark.

Pikers! My fantasy dive trip starts with a little jaunt down to the deck of the Doria, then a hop to scapa flow for some more wrecks. Followed by a three stop to the GBR, South Africa, and Guadelupe to compare Great White feeding behavior. Finally my last would be a little on the chilly side. Antarctica!! For a month or so of training dives to prepare me for the ultimate. Ice diving on Saturn's moon Europa!! And all of this paid for by contributions from you all!!

My dive fantasy? Easy, find some how to make at least 6 figures off scuba diving 24/7 without the need for formal education.

Realistically though amass enough money and training to dive the mt. everest of shipwrecks, the Andrea Doria either that or recover the bazillion dollars worth of gold or silver sunk on the RMS Republic.
