I'll be up at Mt Storm this coming Sunday for anyone who is interested. Water temp should be around 60 as it was 57 at depth (122 ft) last weekend.

Mt Storm lake is a man made lake that serves as a cooling pond for a coal fired VEPCO power plant. The water is warmed by the process and usually remains 60 or better during the winter and up into the 90's at the surface in the summer. It is a high altitude dive located 3244 ft above sea level and depths to 130 ft can be found. It is located about 6 miles from Mt Storm WV. For more info see the following sites:

Hope to see you there,

I am planning to go to Mt. Storm this weekend 4/26-27/03.
Can anyone tell me what is the water temperature this time of a year?
How far is it to the closest refill station?

2 weekends ago it was 57 at depth (120 ft) so it should be up over 60 by now.

The dive shop that was close by closed. I think the guy who owned it still has the compressor set up in his home which was about 20 - 30 minutes away but I am not sure. There is a sign with a number near the site advertising air fills but I've never taken the number down. I don't know of anyplace close by. I would plan on brining what you need.
