I am looking at buying a Dive Rite HID light and am debating between the two head options, any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

H1 throws off more light because the reflector is bigger.

Is the MR11 non-focusable and the H1 focusable? I don't have any specific experience with either of those lightheads, but with a 10W focusable Halcyon, mine spends most of its time on spotlight rather than flood - despite the smaller coverage, I find it much more useable for both signalling and looking at stuff. So depending on your diving, you might find a focusable light a best bet, or if that is too expensive, a cheaper fixed spotlight.
