Moving to Australia from UK, buy kit now or later

My girlfriend and myself are moving to Australia next year and are considering buying our dive kit, should we buy here or in Australia and what brands would be best for Aus ? We are both recreational PADI advanced (EFR) divers though I would like to go for my master accreditation. We are concerned about warranties as well as price

are you moving with a container, so that bulk and weight is no issue? Also consider potential duties when importing too new goods.

I would buy in the UK as stuff tends to be pretty pricey in Australia

No we will be flying so weight is a potential issue, we were thinking of wings rather than full BCDs, obviously not tanks or weights
