I'm putting this in the NorCal forum but it could also belong in marine life. I found an issue of National Geographic (June 04) that has an article about Monterey Canyon. In the article is a sidebar with links which I've posted below. The links are of video shot from a rig hanging 6000 feet down into the canyon. You gotta check out these creatures.

That's cool! I'll have to free dive down there sometime to check it out. :)
 
You could view live feed at the aquarium but sadly I just read on another board that they no longer have that exhibit.
