Ehhh, went down, Saturday was pretty good but certainly not great. Salmon opener came up short for the fishermen and parking wasn't that bad. Saturday night the waves started to crash over the wall. I watched two guys do a late late night dive with a less than graceful entry and some instructor decided it was a good idea to take a good sized class in for a night dive. I would assume it was their first night dive and I predict that with the days activity and the nasty sets coming in, they had visibility of maybe fin or fin+.

thanks for the update Justin, i passed on diving this weekend after seeing the forecast, glad to see it was right for a change

Yeah - night diving was not looking like a good option when I arrived Sat. afternoon and saw good sized waves breaking in the bay. Did two tanks in the bay today.

Pretty bad viz (10' maybe) and pretty decent current and surge at Hopkins deep reef. Not a terrible day though - spent about 1/4 of one dive in a huge school of blue rockfish and I really enjoy the metridium on deeper dark crappy viz dives for some reason.

Hopefully conditions will be better for my trip to Stillwater next weekend.

The vis wasn't that bad this weekend during the day, actually it was somewhat nice with minimal surge at the breakwater. Vis around 10 to 15, looked around for the newly released shark, but didn't see it, and I was too cheap to go see the shark at the aquarium, so my chances are pretty slim now. Saw plenty of fish life, and even an otter on Sunday.
