Cedric/Jimbo: My personal response to the Mola2 siting -" That sound fantastic, let's drink a beer."

I never got back to Alice Goot about trip planning based on long-term weather forecasting. For a geeky science-based answer - the impacts of a La Niña event are rarely the same in one region. It all depends on the intensity, the time of year when it develops, and the interaction with other climate systems. In general, La Niña is often associated with cool weather and increased rainfall in Indonesia. I can barely plan ahead a month, but I would not change my long-term travel plans around future ENSO events.
