I'll probably be driving up Friday night also. I hate getting up at 4:30 in the morning unless I've been up all night.

It will also be so nice to meet you Debbie and Robert as I am still a relative noob around here (usually stuck to Headhunter's skirt).

Christian wears a skirt? It's that pony tail thing, isn't it?!

Hey all,

I just talked to Sonya about staying over on the boat. She said YES and that the ideal time to arrive is between 8 and 9 pm on Friday night.

Also, she said the water temps were COLD last weekend and many divers only did one dive. I am deciding whether to dive wet or dry.... Hmmm! Big decisions!

Looking forward to seeing you all!

Hi Debbie,

I dove Catalina last Sunday - water temps were a toasty 59-60F, if that helps.

So questions are better left unanswered.

Robert Phillips:
Why are you even thinking about having to decide between wet or dry? Sounds to me like there is only one option!:D
I'm still having issues with the rental drysuit I wear. The last dive I did (Casino Point after the clean-up) I had the worst-ever buoyancy. It was horrible and embarrassing! The feet don't really fit and that is part of the trouble....

OK, I hate being COLD more than I worry about embarrassment. Thanks Robb!

Who is up for checking in at 8ish and then getting a bite to eat before getting some zzz's? I'll have friends Michelle & Nathan with me.

Thanks for the encouraging words about the temp Mark! I'd heard more like 50-52 degrees floating around. I've been worried about my wetsuited buddies. The warmer air temps on Saturday can't hurt!

Can't wait to see everyone and meet new friends, too!

I'm going to check in about 8:30 and promptly crash. Hard week. Glad I don't have to drive early Sat. morning. Signed up for Great Escape for Chamber Day because they said I could sleep aboard and I knew I couldn't do that on Magician. Sleeping on the boat can make it easier.

I'm up for grabbing some food but I'm planning to crash pretty early myself. Sleep is a good thing.
