What quick connect hose clamps are you talking about? I'd be interested in something like that.

About half way down the page:
Two Hose Regulator Hoses Clamps Mouthpieces Duckbills Parts

It says you don't need tools, but I found I needed to use a pair of channellocks to get them tight, and a screwdriver to slide the fingers through eachother sideways to remove. They are the only visibly non-original parts on my regulators (unless I'm diving my wonderful Mossback Mk3, of course:D), but they are so handy as I remove the hoses from the cans after each day of diving for rinsing and drying, and I've been using the same set of clamps for years now. I don't remove the mouthpiece clamps for the daily rinsing, so they just stay on. I suppose I could just go back to the original clamps at the mouthpiece for a more authentic look. Hhmmm.

ffhamm, you'd be surpised how much better the reg would look once cleaned. The areas that are missing chrome and paint will still be that way, but overall it should clean up nicely. +1 on opening it up for a look-see.

I found those at my local True Value hardware store. They are handy.
