Does anyone know who the missing diver is that did not surface after diving the State of Michigan Yesterday?

One diver was Joe Kruis inexperienced first time diver, and same with Patrick Aten. The one that went under was the most experienced had about 5 to 6 years of experience. He was going down to tie the boat to the wreck but was having trouble with his flippers.
The lost diver was Timothy Judge... RIP

MUSKEGON COUNTY— Divers Sunday morning recovered the body of a scuba diver missing in Lake Michigan in Muskegon County since Saturday evening.

The search resumed at 7:30 a.m. Sunday after a water rescue effort turned into a recovery effort on Saturday.

Just before 6 p.m. Saturday, Muskegon County Dispatch received a call that a man in his mid-40s was missing in the waters of Lake Michigan just off White Lake Channel.

Todd Dunham of the Muskegon County Sheriff Dive Team told FOX 17 NEWS that the man was scuba diving with a group planning to explore the sunken State of Michigan ship in waters 60 feet deep. Witnesses said the man was struggling with his flipper at the surface about one mile from shore, he yelled for help, went underwater and did not resurface.

Dunham said the dive team was using high-tech equipment to scan the bottom of the water with high-tech equipment in hopes of finding the man's body. The team was still on the scene just before midnight, and may have found the man's flipper on the shore.

The search efforts resumed at 7 a.m. Sunday.

We were diving the "Salvor" off Muskegon when this was going on. We saw the Coast Guard chopper fly over. Little did we know!

MDOT mourns loss of West Michigan leader in scuba diving accident in Lake Michigan | MLive.com

I am not sure exactly what happened here, but this type of thing raises so many questions, and all we can do is try to learn from the mistakes that were made here so that we can all be safe.

1. Always have air in your bc (and some in your drysuit if applicable)And test your bc to make sure your air is on and your bc is correctly connected.

2. Never enter the water from a boat without your fins on and regulator in your mouth.

3. Always have ditchable weights/weight belt.

Barring any sort of medical emergency, it seems that even if he couldn't maintain buoyancy, if his air was on and his reg was in his mouth, he should have been able to re-surface even if he hit bottom after regaining composure and either ditching some weight or connecting the bc, etc.

Let's all be careful out there. We've lost too many good people.
