I'm planning on attending a "fun dive" at Millbrook with The Dive Shop of Fairfax, VA this Sunday, 7/18.

Any fellow novice divers planning on going or interested in going?

I'd like to do a couple slow-paced dives that focus on form rather than depth or distance. We can either stick with the group or do our own thing, depending.

Any takers?

I know some people that are going...look for a maroon Ford cargo van and a green Land Rover discovery - both with VA plates. Tell them I sent you if you want...they are all great people and solid divers and are working on the same things you are I think..

Isn't one of those the guy who always brings his grill? Nothing beats a nice hamburger between dives!

He told me he wasn't going to bring the grill this time because Aquatic Adventures is having their Treasure Hunt gig that day and Marty is grilling bent burgers and deco dogs.

OTOH, he's not a real diver at all - if its pouring rain tomorrow I'll bet he doesn't even go.

Speaking of real divers, how was the quarry, guys? LOL

Actually I had a ball. The conditions were crap of course but I played around the "space station" worked on my bouyancy, frog kick and staying horizontal. Still stirred up muck more than I wanted to but a vast improvement over previous times.

A green Land Rover Discovery followed me in and then veered off to a different beach. Figured that was O-Ring's friend.

Yeah, they were doing the treasure hunt thing. We were diving the Dionysis in Nag's Head, NC after getting blown off the Ciltvaria. 58 on the bottom, nice thermocline at around the 10' stop, viz was decent, cool wreck.
