Hello ppl.
I'm choosing to buy my first regulator.
My good friend is a Aqualung dealer so thats what I'm going for.
I'm trying to make my mind between the new Mikron and the Kronos.
They both priced about the same.
Most of my diving is in a car-trip distance (red-sea as I live in Israel) but I hope to go for diving trips one day.
Please state your opinions.
Thanks
Evgeny

And lets imagine that I asked about Kronos because I'm thinking about it and not about Legend :)

You asked for opinions... He gave his... And why bother spending more money for a regulator that doesn't function as well

CON3RY - thats why I asked.... so you say that the Mikron doestn function as well as the Legend or Kronos?

I can't honestly state that as i've never dove the mikron, but i do know that the legend is an amazing reg and if you're looking at aqualungs, it'd be my top choice. What do you plan on diving? Any extreme conditions?

I started not long ago and got about 30 dives. I think for the close year or two I'll be doing only recreational diving, mostly in the red sea (maybe I'll take a trip or two to other tropical places). Later I plan going into the technical diving area :)
BTW, when you say Legend, do you mean only the LX model or the regular one as well?

if about the red sea, i would recommend scubapro or mares if you prefer diaphragm

I have a very attractive priced for Aqualung and Tusa. As we have no local service center for Tusa - I'll stay with AL. But anyway, why do you think Marez and Scubapro are better?

I run scubapro personally. I just like the way they've set up their G250V internally. Large diaphram, easy breathing, reduced drymouth. And parts are easy to find. But if you're set on AL, the only way to really find out is to test one. Everyone's likes are different. Also consider apex, they make nice regs.
