I've had one burst in the middle, and one at the end. The middle burst, XS Scuba exchanged for me. When another miflex hose (I had two, I'm not sure whether the one that burst on the end was the replacement or the second original, but neither were the "new style") burst on the end, I took all of them off and threw them in the toolbox and considered it money wasted.
I did recently have an LP rubber hose break at the crimp, when a tank tender in the DR dropped the tank...but other than that, the miflex hoses have shown themselves to be far less resistant to scuba diving than rubber hoses.
I get the feeling they didn't do much real world testing of the 6" hp hoses, after the success of their LP hoses and the clamor for HP versions.
