Jordans Landing on Lake Northfork is a nice place with a dive shop on the boat dock. That's not too much farther, just south of Springfield on the Ark state line.

From Springfield, count on roughly a 3 hour drive depending on which route you take and if there is construction.

We went out via 60 to AVA, then cut down. I came back on Arkansas 62 to Branson and back to Spfld. Time seemed about the same.
