some pics from a trip to daraitan, tanay, rizal, philippines. one of the toughest places i've tried to shoot. it's a remote part of rizal province.

from the banca dropoff point we had to hike for 30-40 minutes through this mountainside trail lugging camera gear, food & water we can carry.

finally we reach the daraitan riverbed

yes sir. it surely was worth it. i wish we could have arrived earlier though but the registration at the ranger station took too long.

My daughters school has a beautiful ceremony to mark the end of the school year titled "Beating the Retreat".

The school band play for an hour in full dress uniform in the main quadrangle.

p.s. the uniform is worn every day to school

It was a beautiful day, the band played for an hour, then it was time for all the pupils to say goodbye for the summer and head of home.

These windmills are a great way to screw up a perfectly natural landscape. I hope we dont get more of this.

Finally the sun was out and I could take the dog for a walk. Brought my camera with me and saw this great looking bug on a milkweed leaf.
The late afternoon sun was just perfect.
