Good luck Ken! I hope it works out! I know if you're that far out of town, it doesn't really matter, but where in Gainesville do you work? Will the commute be better or worse?

I just wish we were back in the general area with so much family on both sides there. Oh well, at least the mountains are 2 hours away...

Anyway, good luck and hope to see you at the new place soon!

Lil B and I went to look at the prop this morning, then spent two hours feeding fish and watching deer and hawks at Rum Island. That alone will be worth being able to get up and drive five minutes away to do! We will only be about 6 miles from a park on the Santa Fe. The drift dive we did last year can now extend all the way down river to the bridge! On a full tank, that is almost an Itchie-tucked-knee trip! :)
I will be talking with the mortgage broker again Monday, and hopefully will have a promisory note for the prop by Wednesday.

Well now that I survived my first Conch outing I decided to sign up for some more fun. I look forward to meeting more of the S. FL Conch's.

Eric: If you need some packing tips just PM I'd be happy to help ;)

You are a glutton for punishment, aren't ya?? :D
Glad you can join the fun.

Fool! How are you? How's the truck? You gonna let me drive it this year??

I will probably take Friday off as well, but unfortunately, I have a lot longer drive than you, and will not get there till late afternoon.

Forget the packing, we want to know how you got your abs all ripped.....Wow chickie, you motivated me to spend the morning in the gym...hehehe

I'm thinking no for the cold creepy dark overhead water diving, but a big yes for camping. I'll check Darrel's calendar (yes, I do actually have a real live husband although some think he's make believe) and see if he'll be able to grace us with his wonderfully bald prescence..

(ok promise not to wipe your post out this time... sorry!!)

you know, spring water is the most clear, best vis water around!!

that is, until Ken and Simon get in and turn everything into pea soup.

what can you do?

hey, no biggie.... there are far worse things in life than having your post deleted, like diving behind Simon and still hoping for some remote bit of vis.. (hehehehe, love ya S-man!) I know the water is clear, but is it dark down there like it was at the Blue Springs? Kinda freaked me out a little, but I'm still curious enough to "try" it again.

Hey V... I tried it last spring, and it was fun.
Just remember, the wonderful dive buddies who are fellow Conchs promised me.... THERE ARE NO ALLIGATORS IN THE SANTA FE RIVER. Just keep repeating it over and over, maybe you too will beleive it!
