H2Andy:
ow....

hey, simon, when we go diving this weekend, i PROMISE it won't be me
who turns your valve off at 100 feet, ok? promise

just clearing things up

My understanding is, Simon got screwed up in the directions and won't be returning to Central Florida for a few weeks. He ended up in Nepal trying to dive the Himalayas. That's what ya get when a Yank gives ya boffed directions. Follow yer nose next time. Fortunately, he wasn't available to have a "valve malfunction."
Actually, I'm curious to hear about this dive myself.

On a better note...

Per Ginnie Megadive...

Holly and I have put an application in for a $150,000 mortgage for a new home and so far it's looking good. If we get this, it will be a lot of work getting things moved after the megadive. However, that means that for the October Megadive, we may be hosting at our new 5 acre camp/homesite. It is halfway between Archer and Bronson of HWY 24. At the very least, it will be a housewarming party. We have some other things coming up about that time that may interefere with travel, (hint hint). More on that when know more.

We should be getting an answer on the house by Friday if all goes well.

Goodluck on the house Ken - I hope everything works out for you guys :D

See the link in my sig regarding the report - wont pull the link for another few days. We were all still very much alive at the end of the dives. However i have to report a fatal accident, Andy's reel decided to strangle itself on saturday, from the year or so of tangling abuse, it decided to end its own life and we recovered it from the cave in a bundle of string ;)

I am hopefull that my GF will be diving by the time of the megadive and also that there might be some cave diving folks along for the ride over that weekend - but i shall not foresake the group completely.

Ken, do you need a hand with the house and moving stuff?

the reel was depressed because it saw Simon rocket to the top of the gallery
(having dry suit issues, apparently), and felt useless and unable to prevent
what it thought was an untimely death.

back home, it took me three hours and a little over to untangle that reel, but
i did manage it.

You may recall me telling you that i was intending to head to the ceiling in a vain effort to dump some air before i got out of the ear into that upward flow - intentional, however i didnt seem able to dump that much so still had issues on the exit, which is really a pain now! But of course, at least i was nice and dry and warm ;)

I would have taken the knife to it! ;)

Dang , and I didn't get to see the reel in all it's glory !!!!
Well , at least they got pictures of it !!!!

Glad you got it untangled...I usually get so frustrated with it I just use the knife...
(Explains why I keep getting less and less line on my reel )

Moving stuff will just require a lot of boxes back and forth, and minor amounts of furniture. At this point, we're still waiting to see if financing goes through. They should have an answer to us by Friday. The site won't be ready to move things from one place to the other until about August. I'll keep you informed as the time gets closer.
It's unimproved land now, so it will have to be cleared before they can drop the well and septic systems. It will take them about a month to get the trailer built after we choose colors, carpet, tile and other stuff. Sitting with fingers crossed waiting for response from bank.

We have found a larger trailer for $20,000 cheaper, and a 5 acre parcel for $30,000 cheaper. The real kicker is, instead of being between Archer and Bronson, we are mere minutes away from Ginnie Springs!!!! If this goes through in time, we will be changing the venue of the party to OUR NEW HOUSE!!!!! Camping will be available, floor space for those who prefer indoors, and there are always hotels nearby. The fallback is Ginnie Springs. I will keep everyone updated as time grows nearer. We currently live on a 1/8 acre postage stamp lot in a trailer park in a 3/2 1375 sq ft DW. We will be moving to a 5 acre lot, into a 3/3 with over 2,000 sq ft DW! Happy dance! Happy dance! Just hoping financing goes through for it! Keep your fingers crossed!

Cool! Are congratulations in order yet? Sounds like a good move.
