Ok, I was planning on getting there on Friday. Once again real life rears its ugly head and it looks like it will be Saturday. I didn't want to miss the big food shindig so what time do I need to shoot for? Also are folks planning on diving Sunday?
I plan on doing 1 or 2 dives early on Sunday if I can find a buddy.

Well, here is the thing. I have been reading the posts by Squalus about life in his current location (as I am sure most of you have been) and been amazed at what the folks are having to deal with 'over there'. I found out today that a former employee who enlisted in February and has just finished Basic is being deployed 'over there'. His Mom (also an employee) is absolutely terrified and from what Squalus has had to say she has every right to be. I have not and will not share what I have been reading with her. Tom has been given a three day leave to come home this weekend (which I understand is lucky) and we are going to throw him a party on Saturday.

So, I won't be meeting any of you folks this weekend, but, I hope to some time in the future. You all have a great time and dive safe!:)

Speaking of buddies, how does that work at these? It sounds like there will be enought people that it should'nt be a problem.

You should have no problem finding a buddy. After all meeting new dive buddy's is what this event is about. Well it may be secondary to the eating, okay thirdly to the camp fire. Okay it may come in fourth after Polly's stories.

Does anyone have a channel weight or such for a BP that I might be able to try out this weekend? If someone has one for sale I might be interested. Just getting the doubles trimmed out and it was suggested that I try one. Figured what better way.

I can not believe I'm asking this....

Is anyone REALLY bringing rubber bands? I know several men have stated they will be after all of Polly's stories last year but will anyone truly be bringing rubber bands?

A plastic do-hickey on my insulated hot pot broke - the one that we typically keep the water hot in for tea and hot chocolate. A couple sturdy rubberbands should be a good replacement & I don't have any.

So?

And another - I can't believe I'm asking this post...

Are any of you an Ohio State fan with a baby that would fit 6-mos old onesies? If not, know of someone?

My sister with the 5 month old twins was gifted all the clothes from a friend with twin boys about 1 year older than hers. She's ok with the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings clothes but there's NO WAY she's putting the OSU onesies on them. & she lives in Northern Illinois and doesn't know anyone else that wants them.

Let me know.

Paula - a True Blue Wolverine fan through and through!

Tell your sister to burn those OSU duds. Immediately. It's just cruel to try and turn a helpless, innocent child, even a Hoosier child, into a Buckeye nut.
