Did an early morning dive off the shore, surge was minimal and water was calm all morning but viz wasn't the greatest. Was about 5' until reaching 30' of depth then it increased to 10' with 15' in places further out. As usual it was teeming with life and it was a pleasant dive but only did one dive due to the viz. Hopefully for you weekend divers it will improve!

Sounds about like our dive in Carmel on Sunday.

You around this weekend?

Nope, working. I'll be in Denver Saturday night and Idaho Falls Sunday.

I may be able to dive the 20th, but I have to be back to work that Sunday.

One of my favorite dives of all time was at McAbee! We were out there in 12ft waves with 1-5ft vis and some nasty surge through the boulders and kelp. I got my first physical experience with a harbor seal that day and got to see more sea otters and seals then ever before in the water!

Its a finicky dive site, but the poor viz is well worth the experiences IMO.

Keep divin'!
