Ouch! 65 mph gusts?? That's brutal....I would not take my chances either!

You guys seem to have bad luck at this Mesa Lane place (heh, though the whole socal area is getting beat pretty hard lately as well)....is it really great diving there?

It's one of the better spots in the Santa Barbara area on all counts - visibility, reef structure and sealife but the access is a lot of work - lots of stairs.
 
Its good diving but I've been to spots with less walk up their that have just as much sea life :) And as for the times i dove their it was good viz, But ive had that good of viz all up and down the Coast! Personaly i liked Fernald's Point or eucalyptus Lane just as good!
