Last photo is anger making. Is it marine reserve or unprotected?
I would have been tempted to cut the net free and retrieve it at a later date.
The only positive thing I can think of is that they were not trawling.

Unprotected. BTW, with very very few exceptions there is no "protected" olice: even in any so called "reserve", "sanctuary", "marine park", etc. :depressed:

As for cutting the net; it is not the fault of the fishermen.
