Maui Monthly - August 5th

Who's up for a dive Saturday August 5th? 8am as usual?

Depending on the weather, I'm going to recommend going north and trying Honolua Bay, if everyone is ok with the walk in and out. If we're feeling really adventurous that day we might even try diving around the corner and getting out at Slaughterhouse, climbing the stairs and walking back to Honolua (or leave a vehicle at the top of the hill )

Feel free to submit other recommendations too

Hi there, I'd love to go diving with you if I were there. I'm 30 days and counting until we get to Maui. Maybe we can do that one when I'm there, I've been wanting to dive up there. See ya soon. I'll give you a call when I get on the island August 29th.

Good news - the land owners at Honolua are now allowing Scuba divers to drive down to the boat ramp and park there. So we won't have to walk.

New Time: 9am at Honolua bay - meet at the "turn around" 200 yards past the main entrance, we'll load all the gear into one or two vehicles to drive into the close parking lot (limited parking - just in case)

the good news is that the weather finally calmed down and the water is clearing up nicely. I'll check it out in the morning, but am hoping for some good conditions while you are here.

We were thinking Black rock or Ahihi? Not sure how those are now but whcihever has the best vis.
