MAUI DIVER
Guest
aloha mike,
mds boat people are great. shop people, well, they need to get certified. don't need to be certified to make sales. you do need to be a good diver to lead dives, well.
tips are a funny thing, cuz, most people have no idea that it is customary to tip 15-20 bucks a head. a lot of new divers out there that have no idea what they are getting into. they are penny pinching when it come to their lives.
MDS is a good operation. The one at the top is always mocked, ya.
anyways, maui is a beautiful place to live and all you really need is a job to start off in some kind of loop. it doesn't get that bad here like on the mainland. no need to complain over here or negativity, like most kooks that come here and leave in a few years. its not the way of the island. mds gets a lot of perks that most people don't realize. that alone is huge. free activities all over the island. great way to see the island and meet new residents. its a small island and as long as you keep a posstive attitude, you'll do fine. I have one piece of advice:
don't listen to anybody that has not been here for over 5 years. unless its an exception and that'll be obvious.
