Worst case it will require some minor adjustment by a technician. Your best bet is to have the shop where you buy it install it and tune it for you. They should do it for free if you purchase it there. It's worth the extra money over an online purchase and also assures you can also get it serviced locally.
 
I mix 1st's and 2nd's all the time. Zeagle, Mares, ScubaPro, and even IST (from my stages) ALL work interchangeably (though a fitting adapter may be required). My fav combo is MR22/G250 (non-HP).
 
Yep, just make sure that it doesn't breathe beter than your sherwood second stage HAHA. If you are just looking for somethign cheap that breathes the same as the reg you have now, take a look at the matching sherwood standard octo. If you do get one that is the same price you save yourself the possibility of running into a place that doesn't supoprt one or the other and then having to run to multiple service centres every year.
 
I understand that if you dive in Great Britain, mixing brands is illegal. It may be in other countries as well. Sounds stupid to me, but then again, the US doesn't have a patent on stupid laws.
