Masterline parts for Rix SA-6

So I got a parts list from both Rix and Masterline for the -6. Same spreadsheet, same prices except in some places the Masterline parts are more expensive. Eh?????

I sent a note to the Masterline guys about this - ie no incentive to buy from them - and they show the same $150 min order as Rix. Waiting for an answer.

Still, there must be a financial reason they deal in these parts, so who's bought parts from them and what has been your experience?

Also, I noted that there are >6000 -6 compressors out there for which some parts are obsolete. Has anyone converted a -6 to -6B specs? Any help on what that entails and the approx cost hit?

i am not sure but in that process at least one of the al heads are replaced ith a steel head and the belt drive is now twin belt system. the twin belt system ran me i think 325.

contact air speed press and they have info on replacement parts for the s6. the master name sounds familiar. i am looking for con rods for mine.

Well I've torn mine completely apart. Down to the block. And so far I've learned a great deal about what makes it tick and what doesn't. Maybe when I'm done I'll post everything I learned for someone else to benefit from. Right now, its a $3k (and counting) parts lesson....but when I'm done, I'll have a zero timed machine for half of the price of a new one. At least I keep telling myself that!
