Hello there Travis,
Welcome to Scuba Board - the greatest online place, the fastest growing, and the nicest! You can meet a lot of helpful people here and it’s an awesome place to get answers about scuba diving. If you ever want to chat feel free to PM me. Take care and safe diving from Matt. :thumb:

No experience needed and it feels great!

Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

You'll find buddies easier by completing your Profile with location and seperately - your Dive Info will help in future diving discussions. You can use the Quick Links menu above for this. Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help?

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

I'm just leaving Houston this morning, where I've been for the DEMA Scuba trade show and a SB Bar-B-Q dinner! Both were awesome! :thumb:

Welcome aboard the board. Now that your message is in the SoCAl section you should get lots of replies.

If you want to dive, just post a date, time and place here, or take advantage of someone elses post. http://www.sandeaters.org is also a good place to go. They are only a dive calandar (not a club) with a dive scheduled for every sunday at 0800 AM. You can join the mail list and then send e-mail to the list asking for a dive on a different date or location.

If you want to dive, give me a shout. I get wet someplace between Laguna Beach and Malibu most weeks. Sorry, but in HB due to the position of the beaches makes them ideal for surfing and poor for diving so I have not heard of any dive sites there. Doesn't mean there aren't any, I just have not heard of them.

Travis,

As Pasley posted, there are many dives posted regularly on this board.
Another place to find dives/buddy's is with us at www.divevets.com, we do a Wednesday night dive every week along with other dives hosted by www.divensurf.com, all thier events are free of charge and open to certified divers of all experience levels. We would be happy to have you join us some time.

This weeks dives:
Thursday: Veterans Park 6:30 (see updates on www.divevets.com)
Saturday: Catalina Island at Casino Point
Fri/Sat/Sun: Local shore dives
