I may be up for taking vacation and doing that as I am leaving for upstate NY on Friday. You buying the beer?

I'm not on call, and haven't been in the water in a week or two, and I have three full tanks of air. Let me check with the boss, and with the wife and see if either has any problem with me dashing to the lake on Thursday afternoon next week.

No problem this end. I sent an email to Capt. Gary and will know soon if he still has a seat for me. I expect I'll be meeting you out there. I PROMISE to not form a mushroom cloud in the mud off the side of the wreck THIS TIME.

If I wasnt still on 9 hours I could go but I dont think I could make it there in time leaving the flint area at 4 pm

If you need the extra person to fill the boat, I'll go and watch bubbles. Besides, it has been ages since I have seen you guys and it will be a good excuse to catch up. I will have the Mustang "shoe-horned" as I will be gone for the next two weekends and really don't wish to have to redo the job as I am leaving for my destination early Friday morning (I will have to clear customs at Port Huron and Buffalo both before 11:00 am Friday to make my appointment.)

Brian, you have got to be kidding me. "I'll go and watch bubbles..." Can't you pack the mustang in such a way that you can get your gear bag out & go diving with us? I can loan you an extra tank (of air) if you want, so you're not hauling an empty tank all the way to New York & back. And yes, some beer might find it's way into my station wagon somehow, or we could find a local establishment.

I have sent email, and called Capt. Gary's home line, and have (at this moment) had NO RESPONSE to my query if he does, indeed, have a seat available for me. Any ideas?

If I don't hear from him, or someone on that end, I'm staying in Frankenmuth on Thursday. No need to make the drive at 14mpg to Port Sanilac to be turned away....

I'll let you know if I hear from him about the dive, but for right now, I'm not coming.....

Gary was operating out of Harbor Beach (way up in the thumb) all weekend, and just may not have had a chance to check his email or home phone yet. He usually answers me within a day or two.

I am going to be gone for a week and a half and I have too much "stuff" that needs to happen so that little Brother and the pets are taken care of over that time. I will be leaving before any businesses open up on Friday.
